S-Squared 3D Printer (SQ3D) is a 3D printer manufacturing and service company based in Long Island, New York, and has launched its patent-pending autonomous robotic construction system (ARCS).
SQ3D uses the core principles of 3D printing and applies it to large projects and builds. The ARCS system is a safe, effective and environmentally friendly way of building. Its printed structure ranges from 500 square feet to over 1 million square feet. According to China's 3D printing network, this 3D printing structure is impervious to water, fire and mildew, and can be used in inclement weather. All structures built with ARCS have structural integrity that lasts for a century and requires little maintenance.
S-Squared 3D plans to build hundreds of ARCS machine networks. “Our humanitarian goal is to create housing for unfortunate and poor areas,” the company said. “The construction costs of these third-world countries may cost only $1,000 in a 500-square-foot home. These homes are built to withstand hurricanes, tornadoes, and almost any natural disaster.”
