ABS+ is mainly used to improve the ABS printing edge and cracking problems, improve the ABS shrinkage and interlayer adhesion, and reduce the cooling rate of ABS.
Printing performance: In terms of the nature of the material, from the point of view of the hot end, ABS plastic is relatively easy to print, without having to worry about clogging or solidification. However, this material has the property of being cold-shrinked and will be partially detached from the heating plate and suspended, causing problems. In addition, if the printed object is very high, sometimes the entire layer is peeled off. Therefore, ABS printing must not have fewer heating plates. In addition, a closed 3D printer is required to at least avoid printing in a room that is too low at room temperature, causing the material to cool, resulting in shrinkage. ABS can print very fast, and since the problem of drawing is very rare, it is usually enough to just pull back a little.
Strength: As long as the film is printed at the proper temperature and the layer material is firmly adhered, the strength of the ABS becomes quite high. ABS is soft and will only bend when subjected to pressure and is not easily broken.
Odor: The biggest disadvantage of ABS is that it produces a strong odor when printed.
Applicable scene: ABS is suitable for making items that may fall, use in high temperature environments, or be used in a rude manner. For example, tool holders, car hand racks, mobile phone cases, toys, etc. In short, almost everything is applicable. A disadvantage of this material is that printers without a heating plate cannot print. In addition, it is best not to use ABS when the room is poorly ventilated, because the smell will make people feel uncomfortable.
After the improvement, ABS+ basically maintains the mechanical properties of the original ABS, the toughness of the material is greatly improved, the heat resistance is slightly decreased, and the shrinkage rate is greatly reduced.
