Ordinary consumer 3D printers support many types of consumables, but the most frequently used ones are acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and PLA (polylactide polylactic acid).
As a 3D printer consumable, these two plastics have always performed well because the two materials can restore the details with a high degree of precision, but in detail, ABS and PLA are indeed a little different.

Immersing the printed model in acetone for a while will remove some of the roughness on the model surface, making the model surface very smooth. A small amount of acetone can also bond two pieces of ABS plastic together
When used as a 3D printing consumable, ABS often has some minor problems. That is, when printing on an unheated printing platform, the model often suffers from edge-pulling problems. This problem is especially noticeable when printing large models.
When ABS is heated, the material sometimes gives off an unpleasant taste. However, ABS supplies can be recycled.
